Don and I both slept in because this was one of the rare days we didn’t have to go over to JH – well actually it was the 1st day for that. We go tomorrow for blood work but it’s a 2:00 pm appointment so again we get to sleep in *yippee*. We did hear the jack hammering outside our window early but it didn’t last long so we were able to fall back asleep, thank goodness!!
Don had breakfast and we left to go for a drive and walk – stopped by 7-11 for coffee for me – we drove to Fell’s Point which is only about 5-10 mins away (lots of shops and eating places – a cool little area). Just walked around and enjoyed the fresh air. Got Don a decaf but wasn’t too too great but he drank some of it. We got pizza to go at The Brick Oven – you can build your own slice – so we kept it simple and it was great! Don’s taste buds aren’t quite up to par but he said the more he ate of the slice, the more it tasted like pizza. We left to come back after that as the parking police was headed our way and we didn’t put more in the meter (I was outside the car and didn’t see him coming and Don rolled down the window and said hurry let’s go *L* – it’s now 3:05 pm and getting ready to wash some clothes and just chill.
Gram/Ellen and Kristi/Charlie are coming for a visit – so excited about that!! JJ
Everyone came to visit and we were all able to eat a dinner and dessert at the dining room in our building. On Wednesdays every week they serve a free dinner to the patients and guests. It was great – soft tacos with either chicken/green peppers/fried onions with lettuce/cheese/salsa – or beef with the same toppings. Ohh and cookies for dessert!!! We enjoyed it thoroughly!! I didn’t have to cook haha!!!
We all went back up to our place and just sat and talked – watched a bit of TV – and then it was time for all to leave L. It was so wonderful to see them all!!
Don is watching TV and it won’t be long before we hit the hay.
2:00 appointment on Thursday for blood work – not sure about schedule for Friday and Saturday. They will let us know tomorrow. They will also give us a time for his heavy dosage of chemo on Sunday.
